Tensions return in the North, the Kosovo police car is attacked in

A vehicle that was traveling from the facility of the municipality of Zveçan, in the direction of Mitrovica, at the crossroads, broke the windows of a Kosovo Police vehicle.

The vehicle that attacked the police car fled the scene, Kosovapress reports.

For three days, the protests of the Serbs, who are opposing the elected Albanian presidents in the elections held on April 23, have been continuing in the northern municipalities.

On Monday, protestors with masks and those without masks used violence against members of KFOR, Kosovo Police and journalists.

They threw various things at the peacekeepers, until they damaged media cars, completely burning the car of a television station.

As a result of the violent protests, 30 KFOR soldiers were injured.

The United States has criticized Kosovo for escalating tensions with Serbia, while also canceling the country's participation in a NATO military exercise "Defender 23", after the government refused to withdraw its mayors and police forces from the north of the country.
