On Thursday evening, the printing presses were turned on for the last time for the ' Wiener Zeitung' at the Herold printing house in the 3rd district of Vienna.

The world's oldest daily newspaper has gone on sale today for the last time. In the future it will continue as online media.

The Austrian media write that the newspaper "Wiener Zeitung" was published for the last time as a printed daily on paper, on Friday.

It first appeared on the market on August 8, 1703 and was thus the oldest daily paper newspaper in the world.
