A serious incident has occurred in Brazil, where a father killed his two children and then committed suicide after discovering his wife's infidelity.

40-year-old Thales Machado, a senior local official, shot his two sons, aged 12 and 8, after watching a video showing his wife, Sara Tinoco Araujo, kissing an unknown man in a restaurant.

Machado, who had suspected the woman and hired a private detective, after seeing the video went home and with a gun in his hands shot his sons and then committed suicide.

According to media reports, a few hours before the tragedy, Machado had posted a photo of himself holding one of his sons in his arms, with the caption: "Blessed by God to have you, dad loves you very much."
