"Mom has fallen" / Famous Turkish singer dies in front of her

The investigation into the death of famous Turkish singer Gül Tut, better known as Güllü, who died on September 26 after falling from the terrace of her home in Yalova, is still ongoing.

According to Haberler, the singer slipped and fell in the same spot in her home just a week ago, ending up in the hospital.

At the time of the fatal accident, on September 26, only Güllü, her daughter and her friend were at home, and the investigation so far has shown that no traces of violence have been found.

The singer's son, Tuğberk Yağız Gülter, said that on the day of the incident, while he was sleeping in their home in Istanbul, his sister, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, called him.

He said the sister shouted: “Mom has fallen, the ambulance is here, come quickly.” Tuğberk immediately checked the security cameras.

“After Mom came out of the bathroom, she was playing loud, happy music. She said, ‘Are you ready? Let’s dance.’ Then she walked out of the frame. A minute later, there was the sound of glass breaking. At that moment, my sister said, ‘Oh my God,’ and then she and her friend screamed and ran out of the house. The floors in our house are very slippery. Mom and I have slipped and fallen before. The windows are waist-high and can be opened completely. I think Mom may have slipped and fallen while opening the window, probably under the influence of alcohol. I don’t believe my mom committed suicide,” he said.

Tuğyan also stated in her statement that her mother slipped while dancing.

Güllü was 52 years old and was one of the most important performers of Arabic music in Turkey. She is now being mourned by many fans, as well as colleagues on the stage. However, in addition to expressing sadness, many of them have also expressed concern.

The investigation so far has shown that the cameras, which were located in the singer's house, had the function of reducing background music and emphasizing human voices, writes Haberler.

In the recording, it was possible to see that the music was quieter than people's conversations. On the other hand, the autopsy showed no signs of violence, only injuries resulting from a fall from a fifth-floor balcony.
