The European Union's envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, met with the leader of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who has been sanctioned by the United States and Great Britain.
Lajcak and Dodik met friday at the diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkey.
"I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet all three members of the Bosnian Presidency, as well as Mr. Dodik in Antalya.
I underlined the essential importance to carry out the necessary reforms for Bonsja to move forward on its European path in March.
This is of vital interest to the whole country," Lajcak wrote on the social network "X."
In addition to Dodik, Lajcak met with the other two members of bosnia's presidency, with whom he discussed the reforms needed for EU integration.
Dodik, also known as a pro-Russian leader, was sanctioned by the United States on January 5, 2022.
The US has accused him of violating, obstructing or threatening to prevent the Dayton Accords from being enforced, but also on charges of engaging in corrupt activities. Dodik has also been sanctioned by Great Britain.
