Israeli strike in Doha suspected of killing four Hamas leaders

The head of Hamas's political bureau and chief negotiator in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, was allegedly killed in an Israeli strike in the Qatari capital.

Sources told Saudi Arabia's al-Hadath television that Hamas leaders Zaher Jabarin, Khaled Mashaal and Nizar Awdallah were also killed in the Israeli strike in Doha.

Saudi Arabia's Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath reported the killings, citing their sources. However, Hamas sources denied the killings via Al Jazeera.

"The Hamas leadership meeting in Doha survived the Israeli attack," a senior source from the Palestinian militant group told Al Jazeera.
