Following the tour in the Balkans, the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stopped in Belgrade, where he was received by his counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, with whom he also held a press conference.

Erdogan expressed Turkey's willingness to help resolve disputes between Kosovo and Serbia.

"We are satisfied that an agreement has been reached between Serbia and Kosovo on border crossing with ID cards. As for the license plates, I hope that an agreement can be reached as soon as possible. I am ready to offer support for overcoming the open problems between Kosovo and Serbia, because the Balkans can no longer tolerate these kinds of problems", said Erdogan.

Furthermore, the Turkish president also spoke about the issue of Russia, calling the behavior of many countries towards this country provocative.

"When Russia stopped the flow of gas, suddenly, prices went up in Europe. Now everyone is worried about how they will survive the winter. Why haven't you thought of this before? Russia has such an important letter in hand. You should have thought about this before," he said.

The Turkish president said Russia should not be underestimated as he warned that neither side is winning the war in Ukraine.

While President Vucic asked his Turkish counterpart to help him secure electricity from Azerbaijan. He expressed his willingness to buy Turkish Bajraktar drones as well

Erdogan's stop in Belgrade was part of a tour of the Balkans.

He visited Bosnia on Tuesday and on Thursday he travels to Croatia where he will inaugurate a mosque.

In recent years, Turkey has increased its presence in the Balkans, both politically and economically.

The predominantly Muslim Bosniak communities in Bosnia and Serbia have close relations with Ankara, while Turkish companies have increased investment in infrastructure projects across the region.
