Naim Murseli and Liridona Ademaj were in the divorce process in Sweden, according to a document provided by Kosovapress.

Relations between the couple were not good, something their families may not have been aware of. In a document it is confirmed that Naimi and Liridona had made a joint request to separate amicably in a Swedish court on January 31, 2019.

However, the separation had not happened, since within the period of six months to a year, of what is called the reflection period, none of them had gone to confirm that they want a divorce. For this, the District Court of the city of Uddevalla on February 24, 2020 decided to discontinue the case from further proceedings.

Until now, there have been several versions of why Naim Murseli ordered the murder of his wife, but there is still nothing official. What seems to have been dropped is the murder to profit insurance in Sweden. The media reported that Naim Murseli could benefit up to 20 million euros, but the figure is untrue, since in Sweden the insurance in such cases does not compensate more than 500 thousand euros.

The case of the murder of the 30-year-old woman, who left behind two children, provoked many reactions in the country, starting from institutional leaders who call for the perpetrators to receive the deserved punishment as soon as possible.
