Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed for the first time that he is in love. He did this during a marathon end-of-year press conference, as he was peppered with questions from reporters, but he did not reveal many details.
As reported by the Rossiya 1 television channel, the President was also asked if he believed in love at first sight, to which Putin replied "yes."
Another spicy moment, despite being entirely controlled by the Kremlin, was the proposal he made to his girlfriend by a Russian journalist.
He even invited Putin to the wedding. The journalist held a sign in his hands that read "Will you marry me?"
"You're dressed like you're ready for a wedding," was Putin's comment.
The Russian president then revealed that he believes in God and that people motivate him.
"I believe in God, who will never stop thinking about Russia," Putin said.
