The Socialist Party has set itself the objective of securing 19 mandates in the Tirana District, out of the 37 that this district has in total. 12 of the deputies will come from the closed list, while the other 7 the Socialists aim to secure through the popular vote. The battle will be the fiercest, and perhaps the most interesting, on this list. The open list includes several names with weight and historical contributions to the Socialist Party.

There are at least 13 names that will compete for these 7 seats, with two of them reserved for women due to gender quotas. The five remaining seats will be the most contested among names like Erion Braçe, Pandeli Majko, Fatmir Xhafaj, Blendi Gonxhja, or Toni Gogu.

Three of them have passed the popular support test in 2021, Fatmir Xhafaj and Pandeli Majko in Tirana, while Erion Braçe in the Fier district.

However, running in constituency number five in the capital, known as a bastion of the Socialists, is an advantage for the Socialist senator in the Assembly, while Pandeli Majko is expected to have a slightly more difficult time.

Blendi Gonxhja is also not expected to have difficulty securing a mandate, while Fatmir Xhafaj must secure the support of four years ago to remain in the Assembly, especially since Rama has entrusted him with the parliamentary commission on anti-corruption reforms, which, as the socialist leader has stated, will continue after May 11.

Even with the support of Belinda Balluku from behind, Ervin Hoxha will likely be an MP after May 11, filling four out of five mandates on the SP's open lists, according to the objective set by Edi Rama.

The fifth mandate will be discussed among others who are on the Socialist list, where Ornaldo Rakipi is also in the race, who this time will hardly repeat the result of four years ago. Why? First, in four years as a deputy he remained anonymous, while there are quite active names in the Assembly in front of him. Halit Valteri is in the race, who is expected to secure considerable support, especially in the Kamza and Paskuqani areas, but it is unlikely that this support will give him the mandate of the deputy.

The competition for the two women's seats is also expected to be fierce, as the list includes names like Mimi Kodheli, Etilda Gjonaj, Anila Denaj, or Ermonela Felaj, who compete not only with their male colleagues, but also among themselves.
