Russians and Ukrainians 'flock' to property in Turkey

Russians and Ukrainians are flocking to Turkey to buy real estate, where the former are benefiting from the lack of sanctions, while the second in an effort to escape the war.

According to data published by "Emlakjet", Russian searches for residences put up for sale in Turkey in February increased by 51 percent compared to the same month a year ago; While research from Ukraine increased by 63 percent.

Antalia is ranked first in research done by both Russia and Ukraine. After Antalya the provinces where the Russians have mostly sought residences on the internet are Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara and Bursa.

The Ukrainians, after Antalya, are the most wanted provinces to have a residence: Istanbul, Mersini, Ankara and Izmir.
