Farmers in The Oblast again call protest on Sunday, three demands for government

Farmers in The Oblast are not satisfied by the measures announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama to come to the rescue in the face of rising prices.

The United Farmers' Union called a protest again sunday in the city of Lushnje.

The protest will start at the Directorate of Agriculture and will be held for two hours, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Their demands remain three.

The first is the increase in the tax-free oil fund, which Rama announced this Saturday, adding $5 ml. But the figure is insufficient to meet all requirements, as even with this addition, the fund does not cover more than 40 percent of farmers.

The second requirement is to increase subsidies for farmers to offset the increase in agricultural input prices and promote local agricultural production.

the third requirement is the removal of the excluded criteria from the support scheme, including floor and ceiling thresholds and the principle of who applies first receives subsidy.
