A 23-year-old man has been fined 50,000 lek after being caught driving a "G-Class" vehicle on the seashore at Vaini beach, Lezha.
The incident became public after a video was shared on social media.
The police identified and escorted the young man to the police station, where administrative measures were imposed on him.

The Lezha Traffic Police Services, immediately after the publication of a video on the "JOQ Albania" portal, which shows a "G-Class" vehicle moving on the sandbar on the seashore, on Vaini beach, carried out verifications, with the aim of bringing the driver of the vehicle to legal responsibility.
At their conclusion, citizen AN, 23 years old, resident of Lezha, was identified and escorted to the police station.
He was fined 50,000 lek for violating articles 7 and 139 of the Road Code.
The Lezha Police thank citizens and the media for their contribution to identifying violations of road traffic rules, and invite them to continue reporting such cases, as the reaction will be immediate, impartial and in accordance with the law.
