The Media and Information Agency published today the decisions approved by the government meeting, highlighting the establishment of the Host Nation Task Force (HNTF) and the National Organization Team for the NATO Summit to be held in Tirana in 2027.
According to the announcement, "The Task Force is chaired by the Prime Minister and, in his absence, by the National Coordinator for the organization of the summit," while its composition includes key cabinet ministers, representatives of the Prime Minister's Office, general secretaries, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the director of SHISH, the director of APP and the director of Government Services.
This structure will have a leading role in the logistical preparations, security and organization of this important alliance event.
At today's meeting, the government also approved the Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy 2026-2030, as well as gave approval in principle for the Albania-Canada intergovernmental agreement on air transport, a step aimed at facilitating circulation and increasing economic cooperation between the two countries.
Another decision assigns the Albanian Development Fund as the contracting authority for the procurement, design and implementation of reconstruction works of the damaged spaces in the basement of the Prime Minister's Office building, with the aim of returning them to functional environments.
At the end of the meeting, the government announced that Deputy Minister of Interior, Julian Hodaj, would be relieved of his duties, without providing further details on the reasons for this decision.
