Three days in serious condition in the hospital after their son-in-law poisoned them with Valium, the elderly couple from Librazhd have returned to their apartment.

While Muharrem Bitroshi is still unable to get out of bed, his wife Merushe Bitroshi, in a more stable condition, tells Top Channel how her son-in-law threw the Valium into the lemonade, after he was aware that we had received our pension.

"I got my pension, I got three months at once. The son-in-law came, that's all I remember, he told me to drink. When I went to the hospital, I had no money, they had taken my money," says Merushe Bitroshi.

It was precisely the son of the house, Jetmir Bitroshi, together with his wife, who fortunately returned from Greece that day and found their parents in serious condition.

"We found them lying down, the ambulance came and took them to Tirana. If we hadn't come, they could have died," says Jetmir Bitroshi.

Police arrested 36-year-old Ismail Kllogjeri who gave the elderly a large dose of Valium, causing their intoxication, and then robbed them of their pensions. This is not the first time the Bitroshi family has had problems with the son-in-law due to his violent behavior./ TCH
