New details have emerged regarding the serious incident that occurred in Italy, where 27-year-old Albanian Ermela Mahmutaj was found lifeless, tied to a tree.
According to Italian media, the 27-year-old had written to her lawyer on the morning of April 28 to schedule a meeting regarding her separation from her husband, with whom she had not lived for several months.
"Can we meet in the studio today?" was the message that Ermela had sent early in the morning to her lawyer, who had been following her and her husband in the divorce proceedings for some time.
After learning that the lawyer was out of the country, Ermela insisted that she could meet at least one member of the law firm. The meeting was scheduled for the afternoon, but the 27-year-old at that law firm never showed up.
This is one of the elements that has come to light in recent hours, which casts new shadows on the suicide hypothesis. The attempt to take legal action, the desire for discussion, the search for a structured dialogue with one's professional references and even the rush to meet a lawyer seem incompatible with such a desperate and planned gesture.
