A 59-year-old man in the city of Korça died after allegedly consuming a large amount of medication.

The police say that after the statements of his family members, it is suspected that the 59-year-old man died from an overdose of drugs.

The motives that led him to this grave act remain unclear.

"This afternoon, in neighborhood no. 2, Korçë, in the apartment, citizen PC, 59 years old, from the first data and statements received from his family members, it is suspected that he consumed a significant amount of medical medications. This citizen was transported for treatment to the hospital in a serious state of health, where he later died," the police announced.

The investigative team is working to clarify the circumstances of the event.
