Sealed and in black bags, 3,200 more diaspora votes arrive in Tirana (VIDEO)

Another shipment of around 3,200 votes from the diaspora arrived in Tirana today.

For the first time, Albanian immigrants around the world have the right to vote from their country of residence, after being registered with the Central Election Commission.

Votes are transported in vans of a private postal company, under strict security measures.

Loaded into black bags, the votes, which themselves are inserted inside two CEC envelopes, were returned to Tirana in vans with sealed doors.

They are then transported to the Olympic Park where they are processed. This entire chain is monitored by both representatives of political parties and independents.
