As the flight of young people has become a really worrying problem for the country, Eurostat data sheds light on one of the reasons that prompts them to leave the country, which is related to the inability to afford various payments such as rent, home loan , vacations, buying a car, spending free time, etc., in short, the inability to lead a suitable and desirable life.
Eurostat has published the report on the material deprivation of young people in Europe for 2021, while for Albania the data are available until 2020.

The latest data is from 2020, but even in previous years the indicator is the highest in Europe, despite the fact that the percentage of the materially and socially deprived has fallen (in 2018 it was 40%).
Compared to the region, Serbia has the lowest percentage of material and social deprivation, with 10.4% in 2020 and 11.6% in 2021. For North Macedonia, the indicator is 14.9% (2020) while it increases in Montenegro to 22.3 (2020).
