Tonight, the show Stop covered the story of a citizen in Durrës who was raped by a traffic policeman and the latter then lied in the report he made before the judicial police officer.

The event took place on February 7, 2021 on "Mujo Ulqinaku" street in Durrës, when a citizen named Islam Kodheli stopped the car in a double parking lot and went to buy flowers at a store.

The traffic policeman, Ervis Bejdo, argued with him and then the conflict was followed by the use of force against the citizen. Islam's father-in-law and brother-in-law were present at the event, who were also forcibly escorted to the police.

"In 2021, a problem happened to us in front of our business, after our son-in-law parked the car in a double parking lot, opened the lock and bought a flower near our store. Meanwhile, a traffic policeman comes and steps in front of the car and tells the groom, come on, get out of the car. He says, I came 1 second to get this flower and he came. Meanwhile, the groom goes. He says let me show you the flower. Then he crashes into the car. While I saw that the situation was getting worse. I approach from the opposite sidewalk, looking at the situation. I say leave, boss, impose a fine and go away, look at your situation, because we are also poor. Do I fix your pleasure, I have to rot in prison. He seemed to me to be depressed, not a normal citizen cop. Our son-in-law is hit by a car, they try to handcuff him, he approaches there and my father says to him, boss, please let me know that there is also this pimp, impose a minimum fine and go and see the work. No, I'll fix it for you. Then he asks for reinforcements, about 5-6 cars, 20-30 policemen arrive. At those moments, my father and I come near the store. We were staying here. The policeman came running, grabbed us by the throat, and when he was about to put my father inside the car, he punched him," says the brother-in-law.

"I was involved and my son was on the road. At this moment he takes the police. About 30 or 40 other policemen come to us with all their cars. The policeman asked for protection, seeing that there was nothing there. I don't even know what he claimed", says the father-in-law of the victim.

After being escorted to the Durrës Police Department, the traffic police officer made a false report to the Judicial Police Officer, where he stated that the citizen had hit him and objected. Two other traffic police colleagues, in the service report, claimed that they found that Halim and Elson Allajbey were hitting and physically pushing the traffic police colleague.

But fortunately the whole event was filmed by the security cameras of private entities, as well as an amateur camera of the citizen's brother-in-law. The footage clearly shows the moment when the citizen does not hit the traffic policeman for a single moment, and it is the latter who seems to be acting in excess of his powers and inflicting violence on the citizen.

The prosecution evidenced this fact on the basis of the cameras and accused the traffic policeman of making a false report and took the case to court. While the driver of the vehicle has been accused of disobeying the police. According to the citizens, no action was taken against the policeman and now the case is dragging on in court.

The Stop show officially filed a request for information in the Court of Durrës.
