How Arben Ahmetaj "camouflaged" the purchase of three villas and two

In the movements and maneuvers of former minister Arben Ahmetaj, which, according to SPAK, he did to camouflage three villas and two apartments, Artan Gjokaj, who is not a random name, stands out.

Artan Gjokaj bought an apartment worth 130 thousand euros from the parents of Erjola Hoxha in the Valamar complex, in Hamallaj, on February 17, 2022.

The parents then donated this money to Erjola Hoxha, Arben Ahmetaj's roommate. Mrs. Hoxha says that she used this money to buy the villa that SPAK blocked, worth 220 thousand euros, on March 31, 2022.

This version is reflected in Erjola Hoxha's request to the Special Court of Appeal against Crime and Corruption, where she requests the removal of the seizure, claiming that the villa is not a product of the corruption of partner Arben Ahmetaj.

It remains unclear how Erjola Hoxha's parents got the apartment in Hamallaj. The most suspicious is the sale of an apartment for 130,000 euros to Arben Ahmetaj's confidant, as well as the subsequent purchase of a 220,000-euro villa from Erjola Hoxha, which is suspected to be worth several times more.

And it is precisely about the villa that Klodian Zoto, the owner of the incinerator company, ordered. Zoto has passed the villa to Gerian Kuke, a businessman with strong ties to Ahmetaj. Then Kuke transferred the villa to Erjola Hoxha.

SPAK suspects that Klodian Zoto gave the villa to former minister Arben Ahmetaj in the form of a bribe, because of Ahmetaj's role in the incinerators case as Minister of Economy, where he signed the procedure on April 14, 2014 and then as Minister of Finance. In addition to the villa, Klodian Zoto has covered trips abroad and accommodation in 5-star hotels to Arben Ahmetaj, from 2013 to 2018, this report is substantiated with documents.

But who is Atran Gjokaj and what does he have to do with Arbe Ahmetaj? Artan Gjokaj is not a random character in this story, but one of Arben Ahmetaj's most trusted people.

As this document proves, Artan Gjokaj was an adviser to Arben Ahmetaj, when the latter was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Reconstruction and the Reform Program. Gjokaj was an adviser to Ahmetaj in the Ministry of Finance, even though Gjokaj's education has nothing to do with finance or reconstruction.

It turns out that Artan Gjokaj was also in the car with Arben Ahmetaj when the accident happened on the Tabanoc-Kumanovë highway, the road that connects Serbia with North Macedonia. From being a teacher in Gjirokastër, Artan Gjokaj turns out to have businesses and to buy assets worth hundreds of thousands of euros, while his name also appears in state enterprises under the Ministry of Finance. Gjokaj has also been accused by the residents of Picar village in Gjirokastra of hiding behind a hydropower plant. It is not known if Gjokaj is on the list of persons being verified by SPAK, who may hide assets and businesses of Arben Ahmetaj./ albarnja.com
