GJKKO seizes 8 apartments in Orikum and €260,000 from drug trafficker, Veip

GJKKO has accepted SPAK's request for the seizure of the assets of the citizen Veip Ormënaj, a person who was convicted by the Belgian authorities for drug trafficking.

It should be noted that by order of SPAK, 8 apartments that this citizen owns in the city of Orikum, as well as two bank accounts with 190,000 euros and 68,987 euros respectively, have been seized.

On the part of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision no. 13 dated 31.03.2023, it was decided:

Accepting the request of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime.
Seizure of the assets of the subject under property investigation Veip Ormënaj, as well as of the related persons as follows:

Seizure of real estate with a total area of ​​775 (seven hundred and seventy-five) m2, which is located in Orikum, Vlora, and more specifically: •
Apartment-type property with an area of ​​220.80m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​216.50m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​47.50m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​44.30m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​48.m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​58.70 m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​46.30 m2.
• Apartment-type property with an area of ​​93.m2
Regarding the amounts of money administered by the second-level banks, the seizure of the amounts located in the accounts as follows:

Deposit in the amount of 190,013.78 Euros.
• Deposit in the amount of 68.987.00 Euros.
Decision no. 13 dated 31.01.2023 was executed by the General Directorate of the State Police today on 05.04.2023.
Property verifications related to these subjects continue until complete documentation.
