The number of children suffering from allergic asthma has increased significantly in recent years. Allergist doctors say that the pediatric age group is the most at risk.

"We clearly see the increase of new cases, from 6 years old to teenagers. Allergic asthma requires an allergic factor that can be inside or outside," said Alketa Ibranji, allergist.

The worrying situation is also for people who suffer from non-allergic asthma, which occurs more in the age group over 30 years old.

"All the chemicals that are not related to the allergy, but that are not related to the factors or are the hormonal reasons. We also have tobacco."

Difficulty in breathing or fatigue are some of the main signs of this health problem.

According to statistics, out of 300,000 inhabitants, about 11,000 suffer from chronic allergies in Tirana alone. Around the world, there are 350 million patients with asthma, while 180,000 people die from it every year, Klan News reports.
