A chase like in the movies took place in Ioannina where two minors, an Albanian and a Greek, with 67 kilograms of cannabis entered the crime scene to escape the police.
According to the police of Ioannina, the anti-drug department of Epirus had information about the transport of narcotics, which led to the arrest of two Roma minors.
As soon as the police patrols spotted a vehicle in which the two suspected perpetrators were, they signaled them to stop. The driver of the vehicle, an Albanian citizen, did not stop, he even went in the opposite direction on the highway that connects Igoumenica with Ioannina.
The police was able to stop the traffic on the highway and according to the press statement of this department, it was lucky that since the traffickers' car was traveling on the opposite side for several kilometers, there were no injuries.
Finally they were stopped near Ioannina where they found them surrounded and without any escape route. The two minors were detained and will be accused, in addition to transporting narcotics, for endangering passengers as well as dangerous driving.
Charges will also be brought against their parents, while in the following hours they will be sent to court for security measures.
