Interior Minister Albana Koçiu has reacted again on social media regarding the Democratic Party's protest.
Koçiu says that this is the same ugly performance by the DP that this political force has been putting on recently. She adds that the ballot box has become the opposition's real nightmare, which, unable to win the elections, sees the street as the last refuge of incompetence.
According to Koçiu, Berisha has called on Albanians to become cannon fodder for his personal stupidity. She underlines that what is happening is national sabotage and that the rally is against a working Albania.
Post by Interior Minister Albana Koçiu:
We're seeing it again. The same ugly show, the same old scenography with smoke and flames, coming from the basements of a politics in agony. Another paid "revolution", where Molotov cocktails replace words and masks hide shame.
Let's put it bluntly, without any gloves: A just cause needs neither masks nor Molotov cocktails.
Whoever is right has the support of the people, not a gang of paid hooligans. Whoever has ideas has the vote. But when the ballot box has become your biggest nightmare for two decades, then the only way is violence as the last refuge of incompetence.
Calling on Albanians to become cannon fodder for your personal stupidity, while they have given the answer by voting for 20 years in a row, is the height of political impudence.
They say this is a civic protest? Which citizen of this country would see his city burn? Burning institutions is not politics, it is vandalism. Attacking the State Police is not bravery, it is a crime.
This is not a protest against the government. This is a protest against a working Albania, against stability, against the security of every family, and against the image of a country that is today respected at every international table.
This is not oppositionism, this is national sabotage by those who only love Albania if they can have it as private property, otherwise they want to see it in flames.
And tomorrow, when you come out to deny your shame today and to sell violence to Albanians as a "sense of freedom", think carefully. Think twice, because Albania is no longer the one of '97 nor the one of your mental confusion.
