The School of Magistrates responds to KLP: Untrue and malicious accusations
Arben Rakipi

The High Prosecution Council held a meeting chaired by Mirela Bogdani, after taking office.

The agenda included the verification of the wealth of some candidates who emerged winners from the last Magistrate's exam, who were ready for their appointment as prosecutors.

The member of the KLP, Tartar Bazaj, asked for the postponement of the procedure on the grounds that the General Prosecutor's Office has started investigations regarding the violations committed at the "Magistrate" school. The School of Magistrates has reacted to the accusations made by KLP members about the director, Arben Rakipi .

In the statement to the media, they state that the personal accusations made against the Director of the School of Magistracy, at the meeting of the High Council of Prosecution, represent a serious concern for the functioning of the highest bodies of the justice system and for the protection and respect of human dignity. .

Statement of the "Magistrate" school:

The School of Magistrates expresses its concern that the false statements and accusations made at the plenary meeting of the High Council of Prosecution, regarding the recruitment process developed in April 2024, are a serious violation of the activity of the School of Magistrates, an attack on the independence of her, an attempt to denigrate her authority, to cause the direct consequence of throwing mud at the competitors, future magistrates, who have been declared winners in this competition by their own merit.

The School of Magistrates guarantees that the process of recruiting candidates for magistrates has always been a process based entirely on merit, independent and in full compliance with the law. The school has taken all measures to recognize and evaluate the merit of the competitors only and on the basis of their professional knowledge and skills. The winners are evaluated as such by an independent Commission that has behaved and will always behave in a professional manner.

The participants in the competition enjoy and exercise all the rights recognized by the law and the Regulation of the School of Magistracy.

We consider this meritorious and transparent process essential for the education of the independence and integrity of future judges and prosecutors, so it has remained so. This element constitutes the foundation of the future judicial system.

The school will continue to responsibly promote the stability and integrity of the system for selecting future judges and prosecutors, because we fundamentally believe in the equality of chances of participating candidates as a fundamental principle of the democratic system.

Ignorance, ignorance or misuse of that legal fact, ranks anyone who is part of the governance of today's Prosecutor's Office. The Governing Body of the Prosecution, according to the law, has the duty to protect the independence, integrity, or dignity during the performance of the duty, to respect the Constitutional and legal system of norms and, the Constitutional or judicial hierarchy of the bodies and not to allow and to distance itself from the moral and cultural collapse , professional or logical-emotional of anyone who can influence the governance of the system. The complete misunderstanding of the fact, even when it is clearly black and white, is inexcusable for any practitioner, even a beginner, of the law, whether they have political goals to fulfill, career goals or even simply, personal ones.

The School of Magistrates will continue to support the High Council of Prosecution and the Albanian State Prosecutor's Office to achieve the goals of its independent, legal and equal action for all.
