Although Benet Beci has not appeared in the Special Court for 4 consecutive sessions in the preliminary phase of the trial, his defense has requested a shortened trial this Tuesday.

 The request means the acceptance of the acts brought by the prosecution without entering into the judicial debate on the merits and the submission of any requests that the parties may have.

If such a request is approved, and Beci is ultimately found guilty of the criminal offense of violating equality in tenders committed in collaboration, he would benefit from a 1/3 reduction in his sentence.

The Special Court has decided to postpone the preliminary hearing for Benet Beci until March 17, due to the departure of the lawyer for Adela Ruko, Evis Berber's wife.

Meanwhile, the wife of the former head of ARRSH, Adela Ruko, and citizens Edlira Mitrushi, Jonid Kazani, Yllka Nishku, Premtim Dauti, and Rudin Gjoni have not yet expressed their opinion on the form of the trial.

Sources within the hearing indicate that Gentjan Rumano, the lawyer defending Adela Rukon in this trial, has been removed from the courtroom for another trial and has been fined 100,000 new lek by the GJKKO.

Rumano was replaced by a female lawyer, while the latter has been the cause of at least two hearings for the delay in the process due to his absence.
