"We are on our land"/ Clashes continue in Baks-Rrjoll, Velipoja,

This Tuesday's protest in the Baks-Rrjoll area of Velipojë was accompanied by tensions and clashes following the Appeals Court's decision on land ownership.

It is learned that the situation escalated after the decision of the Court of Appeal in Tirana, which recognized the Malaj family as the legal owners of the land in question.

Following the decision, residents attempted to enter the lands they claim belong to them, but were confronted with a police cordon that prevented their passage.

"We are on our land, we will block the excavations because our land has been taken away," said the protesters, who managed to block the works on the ground.
