A serious incident occurred this Tuesday evening near the intersection of the village of Rrilë in Lezha, where a young man was brutally raped.

Petrit Paloka received multiple injuries after being hit with hard objects.

He was initially transported to the Lezha regional hospital, where he received first aid, and due to his serious condition, he was immediately taken to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

According to initial reports, the fight started over the harassment of a girl.

In his first statement, he said that he did not know the perpetrators and that he was hit with a baseball bat, sustaining serious injuries.

The victim is not a known person and the police are investigating a recent conflict, but in the meantime, security cameras at businesses are also being reviewed to see the possible movements of the perpetrators.

"Around 17:40, at the place called 'Krqëzim i Rrilës', Lezha, some still unidentified citizens have hit citizen PP, about 35 years old, with strong tools. This citizen has been transported to the Trauma Hospital, Tirana, for more specialized assistance and, initially, is out of danger to his life," the police announced.
