The hearing against Arbë Paplekaj, accused of murdering Pjerin Xhuvan in a few days before the April 25 parliamentary elections in 2021, was held in the General Jurisdiction Appeal.

According to independent experts who have reconstructed the crime scene, the armed conflict started from Pjerin Xhuvan's position.

"The victim Pjerin Xhuvani came to the scene accompanied by other people. Arbër Paplekaj pulled back, identified the shooter. The groups pushed each other, the police were also there! In the victim's body, a complementary factor that may have been contaminated by a nearby shooter him", said one of the experts.

Asked by the court, the experts declared that the victim, Pjerin Xhuvani, did not have a weapon.

"And the fact that Pjerin Xhuvan's complementary factor (traces of gunpowder) were found on his clothes and not on his hands, shows that he did not have a weapon", said the experts.

The appeal closes the judicial review, gives time for the final conclusions to the parties, lawyers and the prosecutor, setting the date May 24 at 10:30.
