State Police Reshuffle: 6 officers compete for leadership of Shkodra, Elbasan

In 3 regions of the country, Shkodër, Elbasan and Korçë, the State Police is undergoing a reorganization at the leadership level. Since a month ago, when Police Chief Ilir Proda opened the competition for the renewal of the leadership dome, because these three directorates were left without police leaders, 6 officers became part of the competition by applying.

The list of applicants includes Loard Sallaku, Alban Çela, Dritan Lena, Uljan Shpataraku, Ardian Çipa and Islor Islami.

According to News24, the six contestants vying to be police chiefs in the three regions of Elbasan, Korçë and Shkodër will appear before the commission on Wednesday, December 10, to present their platforms.

And then, thanks to the score they will receive after passing all phases, only Ilir Proda's signature is expected to make the new appointments.

Loard Sallaku, currently holds the position of director of the Kukes police as commander. Aban Çela advisor to the general directorate, Dritan Lena employee at the National Security Force directorate, Uljan Shpataraku, employee at the General Directorate of the State Police, Ardian Çipa, at the department for international relations and Islor Islami, currently commander director at the Korça Police Directorate.

The Shkodra region remained vacant after the dismissal of Fatmir Lleshi, due to unauthorized construction in the Theth area. Gentian Berberi is currently in charge of this region. Korça is currently headed by the appointed director Islor Islami, after the dismissal of Erjon Ahmeti, following the incident in Devoll where a 32-year-old was held hostage for several hours by three people, including Alti Nallbati, the brother of the DP MP, Bledion Nallbati. While the Elbasan region is due to the request for resignation from the police of the current director Fatmir Hoxha.
