A boat driver has been fined 500,000 lek (new) for endangering the lives of vacationers on the beach in Dhërmi.

According to the announcement from the blue uniforms, citizen FD violated the security perimeter, entering the area near the shore with a dinghy.

In addition to the fine, the blues have also blocked the vessel.

"The Border Police and the Marine Police Unit of the Vlora Coast Guard have intensified measures, significantly increasing patrols on the Vlora-Ksamil coastline. During the patrol, the Border Police services received a notification from vacationers that a rubber boat had entered the vicinity of the coast in the Dhërmi area, endangering the safety of people who were sunbathing. Immediately, the services of the Dhërmi Border Police Station and the Marine Police Unit intervened immediately and found the rubber boat with the driver, citizen FD. At the end of the administrative procedures, an administrative measure of 500,000 new lek was imposed on the driver. The boat was also blocked.

"The Border Police appeals to all users of watercraft to strictly respect the navigation rules and the safety perimeter for vacationers who go to the beach in the designated areas ," the police announced.
