New details emerge from the investigations into the murder of a security guard in Vlora, Renato Hoxha , who was executed in a mafia assassination on April 27, 2025.

Police announcement:

As a result of the professional engagement of investigative and operational structures, in recent days, in Vlora, it has become possible to uncover and document with legal evidence the murder of citizen Renato Hoxha, which occurred on 27.04.2025. Specifically, it became possible to identify and capture one of the perpetrators.

In the continuation of the investigative work for the legal documentation of previously occurred criminal events, just three days ago, on 01.08.2025, the structures of the Vlora DVP, in cooperation with the Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the State Police, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Vlora Court of First Instance, finalized the police operation codenamed "In the Trail", with the aim of capturing citizen Kleanth Bylyku alias Armando Gega, 42 years old, resident of Vlora, wanted for the criminal offense of "Premeditated Murder", committed in collaboration.

An order for the execution of the criminal decision was issued against him by the Vlora Court, for the assignment of the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the murder of citizen Renato Hoxhaj, which occurred on 27.04.2025, at around 06:20, in the "Hajro Çakërri" neighborhood, near the Polyclinic of the city of Vlora. The victim was shot with a firearm, with four bullets in the body and head, losing his life on the spot.

Regarding this incident, thanks to in-depth investigations and analysis of evidence found at the scene, it was documented that the murder was planned and carried out in collaboration with several other people. As a result, the following measures have been taken:

* In April, citizen EM, 37 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested on his own initiative for the criminal offense of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder";

* A foreign citizen, of Romanian nationality, DC, 53 years old, with a significant criminal record in the field of crimes against the person, was declared wanted. An international arrest warrant has been issued for this citizen for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

* Another citizen, with the initials IS, 26 years old, previously arrested for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", is also under investigation for this murder, for which work continues to determine his role in this criminal event.

Meanwhile, investigations are continuing intensively to fully clarify and document this event, as well as to identify and arrest other persons involved in criminal events in Vlora and Saranda. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that in-depth investigations and operational actions are continuing in Saranda and we will soon have concrete results for the capture of the perpetrators.
