Nuredin Seçi, the man who guaranteed the payment of 6 million dollars to the lobbying company for the removal of the wife of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted on the show " Albania Live " on Top Channel.

He said he is on vacation with his family and cannot speak at the moment.

"Thank you for your interest, but these days I am on vacation with my family far away and I am unable to do so. The State Department has a contract that talks about lobbying, and I believe that everything is transparent here! Thank you for your understanding," he wrote.

The Special Prosecution Office, SPAK, has begun verification regarding the lobbying contract signed by Albanian-American Nuredin Seci ; the president of the firm Continental Strategy LLC, Carlo Trujillo , a former advisor to US President Donald Trump; as well as by the secretary general of the Democratic Party, in the capacity of beneficiary - a contract that aims to establish relationships with key actors in the government and Congress of the United States of America.

For this lobbying, the contract signed on April 4th stipulated that a fee of $250,000 per month for a period of 24 months be paid, which in total is estimated at $6 million.

According to the contract, the monetary values ​​will be paid by a foundation represented by Nuredin Seci, while the Democratic Party of Albania will be the beneficiary of the lobbying service, it will not pay anything.

After the $6 million lobbying contract was made public, the Democratic Party officially said yesterday that it would not be paid for by the party itself, but by the “Make Albania Great Again” foundation, an organization created by the Albanian-American community. “The Albanian-American community has undertaken to cover 100% of the financial cost of this initiative. The Democratic Party has no financial burden or contractual obligation in this agreement,” the PD said.

This is the second contract in a few months that the Democratic Party has signed with people close to Donald Trump, following the arrival in Albania of one of the US President's two strategists, Chris Lacivita.

“The Client (through its Guarantor(s)) will pay the Firm a fixed monthly fee of $250,000 for a comprehensive support package that includes lobbying, advocacy and strategic legal initiatives for a period of 2 years (24 months) (“Monthly Fee”) and in accordance with the Terms of the Agreement. Payment for the first three (3) months (upfront payment) will be due upon signing this Agreement,” the contract states.

Continental Strategy is a United States-based consulting and lobbying firm specializing in government relations and political strategy. Founded in early 2022 by former ambassador and state representative Carlos Trujillo.

The contract states that the firm agrees to provide the DP with government relations services related to this area of ​​services such as establishing relationships with key stakeholders in the executive and legislative branches to facilitate policy development; providing support for democracy promotion, anti-corruption initiatives, and government reforms consistent with U.S.-Albania relations; utilizing its extensive experience in government relations, policy advocacy, legal services, and stakeholder engagement consistent with the objectives of the Democratic Party and its coalition, the Alliance for a Greater Albania.

"Activities may include lobbying, preparation and distribution of informational materials, as well as engagement with American political decision-makers," the signed contract states.

The Washington, D.C.-based firm has close ties to former President Donald Trump's administration. Founder Carlos Trujillo served as an adviser to Trump's campaign and as U.S. ambassador to the Organization of American States.

This connection has helped the firm grow rapidly, especially after Trump's return to the presidency.

Continental Strategy has strong political ties to key figures in the US Republican Party, including Katie Wiles and Senator Marco Rubio.

Katie Wiles is a Principal at Continental Strategy, with responsibility for the firm's Jacksonville and Washington, D.C. offices.

She is the daughter of Susie Wiles, a well-known Republican strategist and President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff after his victory in the 2024 election.

Prior to joining Continental Strategy, Katie served as Director of Communications at the City of Jacksonville during Mayor Lenny Curry's administration. ​

Continental Strategy has close ties to Secretary of State Marco Rubio through Alberto Martinez, who was named Managing Partner of the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Martinez has served as Chief of Staff to Senator Rubio for a decade and has extensive experience in federal politics.

His appointment to Continental Strategy has been welcomed by Rubio, who has praised him for his experience and integrity.
