The Tirana police have provided information regarding an incident that occurred on the plane that was flying from the Lyon airport to the one in Istanbul.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the Rinas airport after an Afghan citizen aged 40 cut the veins of his hand with a razor.

The Tirana police say that the Afghan citizen was transported to the hospital, where he is in critical condition.

"Around 2:30 p.m., at the "Mother Teresa" airport, the "Lion-Istanbul" plane, in which the Afghan citizen MN, 40 years old, was traveling, made a forced landing, after this citizen damaged the veins of his hand with a razor blade (razor), while flying.

The 40-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he is receiving medical help and is currently in a critical condition," the Tirana police said.
