Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Foreign Secretary of Great Britain, David Cameron are holding a press conference after the face-to-face meeting. The head of the Albanian government says that in this meeting they talked about the deepening of bilateral relations.
"We have a special friend, a well-known political personality. Not only do we have a friend from an important ally and partner country, the secretary of state for foreign affairs, but also at the same time a special friend of this region and of Albania who finally came to Tirana after receiving the invitation for several years and now I am convinced that he will return again.
Today we discussed our bilateral relations and their further deepening. We have talked both in terms of relations as two allied countries in NATO and in terms of bilateral relations in the conditions where the United Kingdom intends to be more present in our country. We are talking about a project of particular importance, which is the Durrës-Prishtina railway, a key element not only between our two countries but in the region and beyond. Considering that we open the competition for the new international port of Durrës. We are in response to NATO, for the military wing for the Port of Durrës. Even Kosovo will build a dry port in Pristina. This is a project that goes beyond our two countries and the United Kingdom has expressed a desire to be involved, with expertise and analysis," he said.
