Storm expected, sailings suspended from Vlora to Saranda

Sailings at sea on Friday were suspended due to worsening weather.

The port of Vlora and Saranda have issued notices for the suspension of sailings due to bad weather and strong wind that can cause waves of 4 to 7.

Announcement:

Based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation in the Sarand?s and Himara area during 03-04.10.2024 starting from 01:00 on 03.10.2024, the wind will be heading South, South-east at strength up to 4-7bft, wave height up to 1.00-2.0 m.

It is prohibited to issue departure permits for 03-04.10.2024 starting from 01:00 for all small vessels, cruise ships and fishing vessels. Fishing and cruise ships have been notified to take the measures for their own insurance.
Line ferries will continue to operate until second notice, always if there is a cruise ban.
