
The Special Court has issued measures for 14 arrests of the mega-operation "Ura", in cooperation with Italian authorities to crack down on a criminal group involved in cocaine and heroin trafficking and money laundering.
After about five hours of hearing, Judge Rudina Palloj left the "prison arrest" measures in force for the 11 suspects, while for the 3 detainees, Ervis Deti, Bexhet Mema and lawyer Armand Tragaj, the measure was changed from "prison arrest" to "compulsory appearance."
The detainees of Operation "Bridge" are Orgest Molla, Armand Tragaj, Altin Morina, Akil Ndrejaku, Musa Koça, Rando Aliu, Sokol Isteri Tatani, Bexhet Mema, Ervis Deti, Ligor Çombashi, Altin Pjetri, Ervin Zeqiri, Gëzim Thartori and Alfred Hysa.
During the hearing, some of the legal defenders requested that the criminal offense be precisely defined, as they do not accept that the represented are part of a criminal group. According to the lawyers, the materials forwarded by the Italian authorities are the only evidence supporting the reasonable suspicion that the communications carried out in the “SKY ECC” application.
Together with the number of people under investigation in Albania, the total number of arrest warrants is 52. According to the investigative file, the organization had citizen Xhevdet Troplini as its main leader.
Xhevdet Troplini's main intermediaries in this activity are suspected to have been Adi Çoba and Elvis Doci, known as "Visi i Pojës".
