"Oasis" for those leaving Dubai? Well-known politician: Here's

A Singaporean politician and lawyer has raised the idea that Albania could have benefited economically from tensions in the Middle East by offering itself as a safe destination for investment and business.

In a reaction on social media, Lim Tean , founder of the Peoples Voice party, said that destabilization in the region is shaking the image of countries that have been promoted for years as safe havens for international capital.

"Dubai was sold as a safe, tax-free oasis. Iran's attack is the ultimate nightmare," he wrote, referring to recent developments in the region.

According to him, in this context, Albania could have seized an economic opportunity.

"If Albania had listened to my advice, it would have been a great economic opportunity to benefit from the problems of the Middle East, offering itself as a safe and friendly alternative," the politician said.

His comments come at a time when tensions in the Middle East have raised concerns about the stability and security of investments in some of the region's major economic centers.

Experts have often emphasized that countries that offer political stability, security, and competitive costs can attract international capital in times of global uncertainty.

How "stability" disappeared overnight!

For decades, Dubai has advertised itself as one of the most stable and safest cities in the world.

The world was captivated by this and millionaires, billionaires and celebrities flocked to it, filling its expensive neighborhoods and thinking they had found paradise, a place with no income tax and where the rich and famous were welcomed with open arms.

But overnight, after missile and drone attacks from Iran, these millionaires and billionaires are booking $350,000 seats on private jets to flee the city. Dubai is now considered too unsafe for the rich and famous to clink champagne glasses and eat buttered toast and caviar.

Even those who are less wealthy are rushing to book £30,000 flights to nearby countries to get away from the Middle East.

My friends, when politicians boast about “stability,” understand that it is a temporary quality. If a country is stable, all citizens should thank their fate for living in peace. But it is foolish to think that “stability” is only the result of the government’s work. Many factors are beyond people’s control.

Dubai's population is 90% made up of foreigners. As I said in a previous post, the city will never be the same after this war. A large part of the foreign population will leave. Foreigners will return to their countries or look for new places to live, because their "paradise" is no longer safe.

Dubai will serve as a lesson to the entire world, to understand that a true nation cannot be built on a population of immigrants.
