A 40-year-old man was found in critical condition in the waters of the Lana River in Tirana.

The police informs that the 40-year-old man died even after he was transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

The serious event is reported to have happened on Monday, while from the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the person in question suffered from mental health problems.

The materials in his charge were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, while the work continues for the complete clarification of the circumstances of the event.

"Yesterday, citizen ED, 40 years old, was found in the waters of the Lana River, who, after being transported to the hospital for medical assistance, died. From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen suffered from mental health illnesses and was a user of narcotics. We are working on clarifying the circumstances of the event," the police announced.
