BREAKING NEWS/ SPAK seizes the tender file worth 400 million euros for Porto

SPAK has seized the tender dossier for the Porto Romano project, as part of an investigation into suspected violations in the procurement procedure.

The seizure was carried out on Tuesday at the Durrës Port Authority, where the complete documentation of the procedure was located.

The tender for the development of the Porto Romano project has a value of around 400 million euros and was developed in two phases: pre-qualification and qualification.

A Dutch company was disqualified from the first phase of the procedure, while on March 9, only one financial offer was submitted.

Only one Greek company remained in the competition, which continued with the final phase of the tender.

SPAK's investigations are expected to verify whether legal criteria and principles of equality in competition were respected during the procedure.

So far, there has been no official reaction from the Port Authority regarding the seizure of the file.
