Klodian Braho is now the new head of SPAK, thus taking on a very important task for justice.
But a poignant moment drew attention before he took the floor during the KLP meeting, where he was elected leader of SPAK.
As he prepared to be interviewed by the KLP, Braho took out of his work bag a small plastic cup to drink water from and then the documents necessary for the platform presentation.
It is not known why Braho chose to take a plastic cup with him, but it can be assumed to be for safety reasons or simply for cleanliness.
During his speech before the members of the High Prosecutorial Council, Braho declared as a priority of his work the irreversible consolidation of the Special Prosecution Office.
"The biggest challenge is for the SPAK institution to mature and pass that point of no return. It should no longer matter who is the prosecutor or deputy, but to have standards," said Braho.
Braho is the third head of the Special Prosecution Office since its establishment, succeeding prosecutors Arben Kraja and Altin Dumani. Over the past three years, the Special Prosecution Office has helped restore public trust in the justice system by holding some of the highest-ranking public officials accountable – from former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, former President Ilir Meta, to the acting Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku.
