Arben Ahmetaj and his roommate, Erjola Hoxha, have moved the legal battle over the legality of the inspection of Hoxha's apartment in Hamallaj to the Supreme Court.
This court has registered the opposition to the decision of the Special Appeal that did not accept the appeal of Ahmetaj and Hoxha.
The former deputy prime minister claims that the inspection of the apartment was unconstitutional, as approval from the Assembly should have been obtained earlier. He also claims illegalities committed by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation during the search.
Ahmetaj is being investigated by SPAK for several criminal offences, including "corruption" and "concealment of wealth". At the end of March, the Special Appeal dismissed Ahmetaj's appeal for the search that was carried out in his co-habitant's apartment in Hamallaj.
