As of 10:00 this Monday, the Mandates Council is reviewing SPAK's request to lift the immunity of Belinda Balluku, who has been suspended from duty.
During the discussions, new details were made public that further aggravate her procedural position.
After the first conclusions made public by the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, where it was stated that there are new criminal facts and allegations of witness intimidation by some "strongmen", sources confirm that prosecutor Klodian Braho has stated that in addition to the suspected "strongmen", the prosecution has evidenced that the intimidation also occurred by a public official, part of the minister's cabinet. This official is suspected of having threatened or attempted to bribe witnesses in the case.
The prosecution has not provided further details, emphasizing that the case is under investigation and covered by investigative secrecy.
