The production of fake news led to the arrest of the journalist Ervis Hasanaga , together with the employee of AMP in Durrës, Regina Omeri , while the Head of Sector at AMP, Kushtrim Selimi, was announced as wanted .
The last two supplied the journalist with fake news in order to denigrate the senior leaders of the State Police , using a website.
Likewise, communication messages with other persons with the intention of imposing fines were found on the cell phones of the arrested. The denunciation was made by several people and police leaders affected by these writings.
The police interrogated the journalist Ervis Hasanaga, who gave details about his activity and that of the two AMP employees.
Before the blue uniforms, Hasanaga admitted that he needed the money even though he was aware of the illegal work he was doing. Showing remorse to the officers, the journalist said that Regina Omeri and Kushtrim Selimi sent him materials but that he had not verified them.
"I have regretted this work. I realized it was risky, but I needed the money. I should have doubted the materials they gave me, before publishing them, I should have done a verification. It had been a long time since I fell asleep from this. I regret it", he said.
Ervis Hasanaga, Regina Omeri and Kushtrim Selimi had managed to publish articles about senior Police leaders such as Muhamet Rrumbullaku, Neritan Nallbati, Rebani Jaupin, Florjan Sulejmani , etc. with the aim of denigrating them in public.
Kushtrim Selimi had the intention of putting pressure through these writings and through pressure to be appointed director.
