Aranit Toskaj and Nazmie Toskaj

26 years have passed since that day, but Nazmie Toskaj still has the pain of the terrible news about the murder of her son, Araniti, fresh.

The 23-year-old, who had been part of the Rapid Intervention Force for no more than 1 and a half months, was killed by a bomb on a night in early August. His mother's tears have not dried up over the loss of her son, who today is a martyr of the Motherland.

"Aran Toskaj's mother: On a dark night on August 1, 1997, a family asked for help because a gang had gone to kidnap their daughter for an organ transplant. In cooperation with other police officers, they caught her, but they threw a bomb and bombs took my son's life, along with the other criminal." - said Nazmie Toskaj.

Aranitis was young, still unmarried. Nazmie's mother could not dress him as a groom, she dressed him in the uniform of the policeman who took his life very quickly.

"Aran Toskaj's mother: How will it be experienced when the son runs away? 23 years old, he had not done it yet, as I said there is no bride for you, my mother. I made him a bridegroom with the clothes of the State Police. My son was lost, we were honored , they respected us, the guild came every time." - said Toskaj for Report TV.

Nazmie Toskaj has only one hostage, she asked for the boy's name to be engraved in a school, but she never succeeded.

"Aran Toskaj's mother: I asked a lot for my son's name to be given to a school, I asked a lot and I am sad in my soul and heart that he gave his life for the police and the name was not given to a school." - said Toskaj.

Nazmie Toskaj, as the mother of a police martyr, receives a modest pension from the state.

"Received a pension, 7 thousand new lek as the mother of a police martyr." - says Aran Toskaj's mother:

She was present this Wednesday at the promotion of the book "The Fallen", dedicated to 422 fallen in the line of duty or for duty in the State Police. In 2 volumes, the authors Hilë Lushaku and Bajram Ibraj have documented all the loss of policemen's lives from 1990 to today.
