Leonard Duka, whose father was shot in the early hours of the morning in Tirana, is known as the head of the 'Duke Clan', the criminal group that has had a continuous conflict with Ervis Martinaj's group. The Duke's name is well known to the judiciary, but also to the Albanian public. He was arrested in 2019 by a super operation for the fight against drug trafficking. He was also wanted for a failed assassination attempt before.

The "Duka" group has been filed as a structured Albanian-German drug trafficking group. But for the media, the Duke is also known as the lover of Miss, Trejsi Sejdini. Although he has tried to keep this love story a secret, the media, including the international ones, seem to have mentioned the name of the 20-year-old. Leonard Duka was called by his friends as "Prince Damian", a nickname which, according to him, reflects luxury and expensive life.

Duke's enmity with Ervis Martinaj has attracted the most attention. Ervis Martinaj, who has been one of the biggest gambling bosses in Albania, circulating tens of millions of euros as well as a major investor in the construction sector, had become the most expensive 'prey' of his rivals, "Klani Duka" has often been mentioned for this 'prey'. 

The head of the "Duke" clan and Martinaj had previously been friends and partners in the gambling business, then they had fierce clashes and were involved in a conflict precisely because of this activity worth several million. After the breakup of the partnership between them, Martinaj took a hostage and abused Duke's father. After that, it was Duka's turn to take revenge on Martinaj, initially wanting to eliminate him physically, but after failing, he executed his right-hand man, Santiago Malko.

Since 2019, several assassination attempts have been planned and attempted against him, but in all cases he has been able to escape thanks to personal intuition, but more as a man who has first-hand information from within the police and the criminal organizations themselves that seek its elimination. In 2019, there was a concrete plan for the elimination of Ervis Martinaj. According to the SPAK file, Clan Duka was able to recruit a citizen with the initials N.SH who at that time worked in a tourist agency and had detailed information about Martinaj's movements and flights from Albania to various EU countries. Together with her fiance, she made this information available to the Duka clan against a sum of 30 thousand euros. According to the data in the same file, Leonard Duka,

In the wake of this hunt for the millionaire, Vis Martinaj, who since the closure of sports betting has led a withdrawn life (but armored with an "army" of young people who protect him) in remote rural areas on the Laç-Lugina axis of Patok, his opponents have so far been able to eliminate some of his closest people, while Martinaj himself disappeared in August of last year. 

Former policeman Santiago Malko, Fabian Gaxha, Erigers Mihasi, first cousin Brilant Martinaj (and 2 others in the Fushë Kruja assassination; while in Milot a few days later Klisman Preçi was killed and Martinaj's right arm, Ylli Brahimi, was seriously injured ... are the people who have been attacked and eliminated. The elimination of Santiago Malko is thought to have come after the conflicts of the "Duke" clan with the missing Ervis Martinaj over the gambling territory, a conflict that started after a strong friendship, for which only the policeman Jeton Lami is in prison, for whom the investigations have been closed.

On February 14 of this year, Leonard Duka, the biggest rival of the gambling boss, Ervis Martinaj, probably planned to celebrate with his co-habitant in an apartment in a province of Brussels. However, the Belgian authorities took care of the opposite, and in the blink of an eye they landed at the apartment at 06:00 in the morning and arrested him.
