Hoxha declared that in this city the balance has been broken and all criminal organizations are on the side of the majority. He said that Durrës is very important for crime, because of the Port where cocaine enters, the project to turn the port into a yacht marina, when according to the journalist the crime money will be cleaned and in general because Durrës is a city where cleaning is carried out money in tourism. 

"We are not just dealing with gangs, but we are dealing with criminal organizations, which are genuine criminal structures with an extraordinary impact on the local unit of Durres. Durres as a municipality, is one of the main municipalities, it has not been like this before. Durrës has constantly been in the attention of crime because it has the port and has a large tourist market, where crime money is invested in. Having control in Durrës is very advantageous for the activity in all of Albania.

The pressure exerted by criminal organizations has never before been at the level it is today, at the level of criminality, murders, blackmail, pressures, as well as the rest, in connection and coordination of criminal structures with law enforcement agencies. In a local unit where the majority is safe, he does not need an alliance with the underworld.

Criminal organizations in Durrës are very present. I don't know if Mr. Igli Cara (opposition candidate) had direct problems with blackmail and pressure, but what I can say with the data I have on the ground, it turns out that the vast majority of organized crime structures, which deal with drug trafficking, serious crimes, are against Mr. Cara ," said Hoxha.
