This is the situation created in the city of Durrës by the intense rainfall that has affected a large part of the country.

Strong winds and intense rainfall have caused problems in several areas of the city of Durrës, creating traffic difficulties.

As a result of strong winds, several trees have fallen in the Poplar area, blocking a segment of the secondary road near the roundabout.

But seven regions of the country have been affected by bad weather and intense rainfall. Shkodra, Kukës, Dibër, Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana and Elbasan have been affected by moderate to intense rainfall.

According to the bulletin of the Institute of Geosciences, precipitation in these regions is also in the form of thunderstorms and is accompanied by lightning.

Due to the high intensity of rainfall, IGJEO warns that storms may create problems such as landslides and flooding in localized urban areas, depending on the sewage system, especially in the regions of Durrës, Shkodër or Lezha.

The strong wind is expected to continue in the following hours of this Saturday and during the night, mainly on the coast and low-lying areas, while on Sunday its intensity is expected to decrease and it will be mainly a light to medium wind.

While rainfall on Sunday is expected to be light in all regions, temperatures have dropped by several degrees due to the rainfall and humidity in the air.

According to IGJEO, values ​​on Sunday will reach 20 degrees Celsius in low-lying areas, while minimum values ​​will drop to 6 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas.
