After a marathon session that lasted about 7 hours, the Court has ordered security measures for four officers of the Saranda Police Station, detained by the AMP on suspicion of favoring unauthorized construction in Saranda and Ksamil.
Prosecutors Silvana Belishta and Esmeranda Basho requested the measure of "arrest in prison" for a period of 45 days for the former head of the Saranda Police Station, Gëzim Bashllari, and area specialist Robert Çulli.
While for crime officers Andi Duro and Ajdin Islamaj, the prosecution requested the measure of "house arrest".
At the end of the session, Judge Shkëlzen Liçaj decided to reduce the sentence for Gëzim Bashllari and Robert Çulli from 45 to 30 days of "prison arrest".
For the other two officers, Andi Duro and Ajdin Islamaj, the court upheld the "house arrest" measure.
After the hearing, Gëzim Bashllari's lawyer, Edison Ademi, stated that the court considered the detention illegal and that, according to him, the file lacked evidence.
"There were serious procedural and legal violations," the lawyer said.
